I’m not sure. I’d prefer slack, but even then I don’t have alerts enabled and the overlap with our time zones is a couple of hours in your evening my morning.

I realize that previously we had an irc channel for the same purpose and nobody used it, but this might be easier to use than irc, has built-in logging and search.

Of course, it requires Yet Another Tool on your machine (although you can just it use via the web browser), so completely understand if you don't want this.
