Everyone,
The Eclipse Foundation has established a mailing list to support communications for our
Quantum Computing Software Working Group. Instruction on how to add yourself to the mailing list are included below. Please note that you must add yourself to the mailing list in order to receive future communication
about QCSWG. Please feel free to share the mailing list subscription instructions with everyone interested in this software working group.
The list is created as
quantum-computing-wg@xxxxxxxxxxx Detailed instructions for subscribing are presented below with an online version located here-
https://wiki.eclipse.org/Mailinglists
It is necessary to first register for an eclipse account, which enables you to manage subscriptions to many different eclipse mailing lists. Both registrations steps are included here.
Kind Regards,
Travis Humble, Oak Ridge National Laboratory
Alex McCaskey, Oak Ridge National Laboratory
Mike Milinkovich, Eclipse Foundation
Mark Vloemans, Eclipse Foundation

Subject: Re: Invitation to Quantum Computing Software Working Group
Everyone,
Thank you for participating in today’s virtual meeting of the Quantum Computing Software Working Group. The presentations and conversations provided for a substantive discussion on common concerns in quantum
computing software. Those in attendance agreed that a future meeting in late April to continue these conversations on specific topics would be worthwhile.
An open, public repository for information sharing has been established at
https://code.ornl.gov/QCSWG Meeting notes are available under the `documentation` project and can be downloaded directly through the web site.
Please inform us of any corrections.

The Eclipse Foundation has offered to support future email announcements, and polling for the next meeting logistics will occur through the email list.
Of course, please forward any feedback regarding the meeting and the ongoing efforts. We look forward to continuing the discussion of quantum computing software.
Kind Regards,
Travis Humble, Oak Ridge National Laboratory

Subject: Invitation to Quantum Computing Software Working Group
Dear Colleague,
ORNL and the Eclipse Foundation are organizing a working group to encourage the development of scientific application use cases, general software requirements,
and programming models and paradigms for quantum computing. This working group will foster discussions on the diversity of workflows, programming models, and testing frameworks needed to adopt quantum computing. We invite you to join the effort to share, distribute,
and collaborate on the variety of software needed to enable quantum computing among diverse user groups. As an important contributor to the software ecosystem, we hope that you or a delegate will join us in sharing ideas, codes, data sets, and benchmarks that
guide the development of quantum computing.
On 15 March 2018, ORNL and the Eclipse Foundation will hold a virtual meeting to organize the working group on quantum computing software. Following
an overview of how the working group could foster quantum computing software development and adoption, we will discuss the agenda for a recurring virtual meeting that continues these discussions and charts new directions for quantum software development. We
invite short presentation during the meeting on existing software capabilities as well as comments on collaborative topics.
Please RSVP for information regarding the logistics of the half-day virtual meeting, including requests for short presentations. Virtual meeting details
will be sent later by calendar invite.
Kind Regards,
Travis Humble, Oak Ridge National Laboratory
