Thanks, Christian. To get through the 1st issue, I rocked the installer back and forth until all the packages downloaded. Perhaps, a subsequent attempt that involved an SF package bounced to a different mirror (which is highly likely) eventually working. BTW, I used the Oomph installer found here: http://wiki.eclipse.org/Eclipse_Installer
Hi, Bill,
See some replies in-line, below.
Just reporting two issues I had with a fresh Oomph setup.
1) Package downloads were timing out. I noticed one from SF.net was subject to advertising before the download kicked in. Could this be solved by increasing the package download timeout value?
Indeed, that happens a lot. The setup is a fairly bleeding-edge thing. I don't know whether the timeout is customizable by the setup, or whether that would actually help. In the case of SF.net (the Checkstyle feature, right?) there was an edit recently to change the URL to sourceforge.net. If your workbench is still trying to hit SF.net, then perhaps you have the setup redirected to a local git checkout of the website and you need to pull the latest?
2) I'm continuing this thread because I experienced the same error reported below: java.lang.RuntimeException: Problems instantiating module org.eclipse.papyrusrt.xtumlrt.xtext.Tumlrt: I also worked around the issue by manually running the Setup Task.
Hmm. Sorry, I can’t comment on this one. I don't know much about the xtumlrt component and its codegen setup.
- Bill Yeah, priorities, eh.
I’ve managed to get the first “common” codegen workflow to run reliably (three clean installation/workspace/git-clone set-ups in a row), as described in my latest comment on the Gerrit.
But none of this will actually work, and we can’t make any further progress on the set-up model, until we put the missing source folders in the main git repo, as I discussed in the Gerrit.
Cheers,
Christian Thanks for taking a look. Although, considering the feature freeze is this Friday, perhaps we could defer dealing with this next week, as it is not essential for 1.0.
It is good to know that it's not just me. I was starting to feel a bit paranoid about my mac ;)
Hi,
I’m just getting a moment now to look into this, too. Sorry.
So, I can report that, with a new installation, workspace, and git clone, I see the same problems of task ordering:
and the first codegen not running:
Performing Launch GenerateXtumlrtCommon.mwe2 Performing Launch GenerateXtumlrtUmlrt.mwe2
I’ll see what I can figure out. The first problem should be addressable by specifying ordering constraints in the setup model. The second, I’m not so sure. cW
Thanks. We can rule out being an OS-specific problem.
Hi,
I'm on Windows.
To clarify also, I had to perform run the setup task manually two times, and also perform a clean after each, before I had an error free workspace. _______________________________________________ papyrus-rt-dev mailing list papyrus-rt-dev@xxxxxxxxxxx To change your delivery options, retrieve your password, or unsubscribe from this list, visit https://dev.eclipse.org/mailman/listinfo/papyrus-rt-dev
