Dear all,

The Papyrus Industry Consortium is seeking quotations for two work packages as outlined below from its members as detailed in the two attached documents.

Context

In order to help attract new users, a simplified UML modeling tool, based on Papyrus UML, is being developed by the Papyrus IC. This simplified UML modeling tool reduces the number of UML concepts that can be used in Papyrus to the most common UML subset.

The goal of the two work packages are:

  • to build a simplified UML modeling tool, called Papyrus UMLLight. Papyrus UMLLight shall only expose the most common concepts and diagram types of UML as listed in the attached document, and guide the user in applying these concepts and diagram types.
  • to develop a consistent example model based on Papyrus UMLLight and to provide user documentation helping novice users in their first steps of using Papyrus UMLLight.

Deliverables:

The deliverables shall consist of, for the development part:

  • Ready-to-use Eclipse-based product for Windows, Linux, and Mac
  • Sources for building and maintaining this product, including the build configurations (sources must be published under the terms of the EPL v2.0)
  • Automated maven-tycho-based build configuration
  • Documentation of the customizations that have been applied (see Section 1.3)* The required evolutions to UML2 project

The deliverables shall consist of, for the documentation part:

  • Papyrus UMLLight example model
  • Papyrus UMLLight user documentation

More context for the enhancements is available in the attached document.

Please send your offers to gael.blondelle@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx latest by September 25th, 2017. The offer shall list the cost of the work, excluding VAT. It should also provide information of the timeframe in which the work can be delivered.

All proposals will be collected and provided to the Papyrus IC Steering Committee for decision. Competitive information will be disclosed only to the members of the SC. Once the decision has been made, the Eclipse Foundation will reward the chosen organization with a contract to execute the work.

If you have any questions, please contact me.
