As Christian said, a good question for
the IP Staff. And, I'll add how to do that. :) Well, I guess you could send e-mail,
etc. Or, even CC them from this list. But I think normally "legal
questions" best go through the CQ system as well.
That way, there is a record of it, which is not quite public, but not quite
private either. In the Foundation Portal, where you
can open a CQ, there is a link that says [pose]a question about a general legal issue Where the link "pose" points
to https://dev.eclipse.org/ipzilla/enter_bug.cgi?product=IP&component=IP_Discussion(Probably best to go though the portal,
and click on the link ... not sure what, if any, differences there might
be just going straight to http link. = = = = = = I also wanted to point out, that if
this is a "question for Orbit" then I think it is the same question
for any project that wanted to use that 3rd party package. Any EPL ones,
at least. = = = = = =HTHFrom:

Betreff: [orbit-dev] JDistlibHi folks,
I came across a nice library called JDistlib (statistic algorithms for
Java), written by Roby (in CC). I really would like to bring this library
to Eclipse Orbit so that it can be re-used by other projects. But ...
JDistlib
=============
http://sourceforge.net/projects/jdistlib
GPLv2
JDistlib -> Depends on JTransforms
I already asked Roby to dual-license the library under the EPL. This is
problematic, as the contained algorithms are taken from R. They are licensed
under the GPLv2 there which only allows to translate them to another language
under the same license.
Is it really not possible at all to dual-license such a library?
Has anyone experience with such an issue?
JTransforms

JLargeArrays

JLargeArrays -> Depends on Apache Commons Math
