Mark,
Even the nasty ol’ Eclipse Foundation isn’t that strict :)
Contributions to the wiki are covered by the website terms of use and provide sufficient rights for the project to use the content. It has never been our policy that only committers can provide content on the wiki.
Dibyendu, signing the ECA would be helpful if you’re planning to make large contributions of content. Regardless please expect that your first couple of wiki contributions will be moderated. Sadly we were hammered hard by spammers a while back, and had to resort to moderation of initial contributions to deal with it. I apologize in advance for any inconvenience.
Hope that helps! Mike Milinkovich (m) +1.613.220.3223 Please note new email address. I think the best we can manage under the
Eclipse Foundation rules is to allow committers to make changes to the
wiki. Even if we could open it up to others, which I don't believe we have
the "power" to do, we'd probably have to collect an ECA sign-off
(just like we enforce signed commits from email addresses associated with
an Eclipse account with valid ECA) and i don't see a way to do that with
the project wiki.I would love to be able to accept contributions
like what you've described, though. I'm not sure the standard for the docs
directory needs to be so high that it prevents turning "zero"
into "something that's useful" just because "something that's
useful" isn't "something perfect". We would still need some
standards (we don't want "zero" to change to "something
that's wrong" ) of course :) .What are other committers' thoughts?
Other suggestions?

[omr-dev] Wiki
for OMRSent by:
omr-dev-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxx Hi
Is it possible to open up the Wiki for user contributions. I would like to document / make notes as I start using the OMR components - and the Wiki would be a good place to do this as this is not the official documentation - hence it can be less stringent in terms of requirements. Maybe if something becomes good enough then it can be moved to the doc folder at a later date.
