Re: [mat-dev] Next release of Memory Analyzer
|
Nice job Andrew. I have no preference but this is a good opportunity to raise a question for the group I've wanted to ask: For the next MAT feature release, how do people feel about changing the default bytes display to Smart instead of Bytes (/org.eclipse.mat.report/src/org/eclipse/mat/query/BytesDisplay.java)? My experience is that the average user is not good at mentally dividing by 1024*1024 when discussing byte values they see in MAT in terms of MB (or GB, etc.).

>After Photon.0, the simultaneous release cadence will move from a 1 year
release cycle to a 13 weeks cycle.
>The releases will occur at the end of September, December, March and June
each year. Instead of a one year long ramp-up to a release, there will be
rolling releases.
