Re: [m2e-dev] Support for gitflow-Extension via m2e-connector - possible solution?
|
Hi,
(just recognizued that the answer went directly to Mickael and not
to the list)
thanks for replying and the links to the issues.
I aggree that an ideal solution would be to just run the
extensions (eventually with a blacklist) without the need for a
connector. As far as I understood Fred this is explicitly not
desired because of side effects. This is the reason why I wanted
to explicitly create something which allows ti use this plugin (as
this is a nearly a story-breaker at our side).
I also read on several places that users finally solved the git
versioning problem by switching to IntelliJ because m2e has no
support of it. So I think if we can get this thing to work we
would help many users which not yet went away from eclipse.
I would try to just run the extensions.
For testing to just run all configured extensions I did not found
how to do that. Could someone tell me what I need to call to run
maven with extensions? It seems that the extensions are not
visible at all at the moment.
Regards
Michael

Hello,
Note that although it may be difficult, we need to keep in
mind that the best solution involves *not* requiring a
connector and being able to fully rely on the extension; so
that if this problem can be solved in a general way, we should
prefer it and not build extension for connectors and so on.
Cheers,
