It turns out it was the plugin-under-test that was missing, not the test 
itself.
Starting from this, I was able to infer that the dependency entry in 
test's MANIFEST.MF should have been

 org.objectledge.maven.connectors.javacc;bundle-version="1.0.0"

instead of

 org.objectledge.maven.connectors.javacc;bundle-version="1.0.0.qualifier"

Now on to resolving _actual_ test failures :)
