Re: [Technology-pmc] antlr 3.3 distribution source/binary
|
Well we were shipping the source code in the SDK for developers to step through. But honestly antler mostly generates a readable parser/lexer and that is where all the action (i.e. bugs) end up.
At a technical level, with maven, I am not sure how to only download the binary, and not have the source acquired at the same time.
So if it is going to be a trouble please advise - at worst we could do a few deletes as part of the release process.

CQ 4865 applies to the Antlr 3.2 runtime only. The generator
portions have only ever been approved as "works with" due to some
sticky provenance issues.
Can I safely assume that uDig only needs to distribute the runtime
portions and that the generator is only needed at build time?
