Hi Jens,
For your point 1, it’s true at least till release 3.1.1.
As you may have noticed for 3.2.0 release info, we worked on implementing this in Wire Assets to react to Driver events, by emitting corresponding Wire Records.
You can take a reference of the current status and example implementations in the develop codebase and in particular for the GPIO driver and SenseHAT driver.
Best regards,
Matteo

Hi,
I am currently investigating how to implement a new Driver/Asset provider. The driver I would like to implement would use event driven notifications. It seems that the current implement of Kura only allows polling read implementations.
So my questions are:
1) Is that correct? Or did I miss something.
2) Are there any ideas how an event driven source could be properly implemented in Kura. I mean rather than simply internally caching the values and waiting for a polling read.
Thanks
Jens
