Re: [kura-dev] maximum deployment package size
|
Hi Dave, the package upload via the web since kura 1.2.2 (and equiv esf) fails immediately with a pop-up “file upload failed” info window. The upload never starts, and therefore there is nothing in any log. This happens with deployment packaages larger than 1MB. These same packages load without any problem if manually copied to the “packages” directory.
Thanks for your help on these issues.
regards John
Hi John,
Very sorry for the slow response, we have been a little behind.
There should be no size limit in the Kura web UI for uploads. Are you getting the error in the web browser or in the Kura logs? If you could post the errors you are seeing that would be helpful. We will try some tests locally and post any findings.
Thanks, --Dave
hi, I am not sure if this email previously went out as the sender address was wrong. we are testing kura v1.2.2 and have found that we cannot now load deployment packets larger than 1MB via the kura web interface. We did not notice this restriction in previous versions. I have not found any reference to this in the release notes.
This size limit is very low and is easily reached when additional third-party jars are inserted into packages. Do you intend to keep this limitin future versions.
Thanks for your help in the past, and all the best for the development of an excellent product.
