AW: [jwt-dev] WG: [eclipse.org-committers] Google Summer of Code (GSOC)Ideas
|
Hi Chris,
last year I already prepared some ideas for supervising a student in the
context of JWT. I also found a student who was willing to support me, but
the proposal was alas not accepted in the end.
You don't need a student at the beginning, only a good description and when
a student comes to the soc-dev-mailing list, he/she will be linked to the
page where all proposals can be found and if they are interested in one
topic they will come directly to the supervisor for more details.
So, the first step could be to describe some features, add them to the
corresponding wiki list and then wait and see :-)
But of course, if we know already some students, we can ask them in advance
(or force them ;-) to work on such a topic.
Best regards,
Florian

Hi again,
as you know we have a lot of new features planned the next JWT releases and
of course we can always use additional support in the development.
If you know a student who would like to take part in a GSOC project in the
context of JWT please don't hesitate to contact us.
Regards,
Chris

Dear fellow committers,
The Google Summer of Code (GSOC) is starting up and we need projects
to participate! Here's the list of ideas so far... please add your own
for your project!
http://wiki.eclipse.org/Google_Summer_of_Code_2010_Ideas
To participate, all you really need to do is come up with an awesome
idea and mentor a student. Have an idea that you wanted to implement
in your project but lacked the resources? Then GSOC is for you! I've
enjoyed the experience every year and we actually have some GSOC
alumni now that have turned into full-fledged Eclipse committers!
If you have any questions, feel free to track me down or better yet,
try the soc-dev mailing list.

Cheers,
