Hi Pablo
We're definitely very interested in what you're trying to achieve (on a
side note, Open Wide ported JaWE to Eclipse a few years ago !). Your
analysis seems to be straight and to the point.
The simple way is to develop another transformation jwt to XPDL / Shark,
starting from the existing xsl-based jwt to XPDL / Bonita as a
blueprint. However, you could use any other technology, like
model-to-model (ex. ATL based, see jwt 2 bpmn or stp-im
transformations). At the end of the day, factorizing a common layer
between both would be ideal, but that would be in a second step.
If technical or feature information are missing in the current JWT
model, you could use the upcoming Aspects-like mechanism to enrich the
metamodel with it so it'll be able to support these also.
We'll be able to help you more from the 5th of January onward, because
right now many JWT contributors are on holidays. Till then, happy new year !

Marc

Hi,
I've downloaded the examples and exported to XPDL the "Simple Process"
workflow. Then, I loaded it into the JaWE editor and Shark workflow.
Shark rejects it mainly by data types incompatibility (NMTOKEN) and id
elements related issues.
JaWE loads it but does it with some inconsistencies: the special
starting activity is missing and the ending is replaced by a normal
activity related with Bonita.Workflow ¿?. Participants, applications
and worflow data seem to be imported well with the exception of
subflows: The exporter tool doesn't relate the main process with the
subprocess and all the elements (participants, applications and data)
are duplicated in every one independently from the level (main process
or subflow) where they have been defined in the JWT editor.
I've spent few time to this task so a deeper analysis is necessary.
Opening the XPDL with a text editor I've checked that the target XPDL
version to export is the 1.0. Therefore I suppose that a more specific
and refined XPDL exporter tool should be written. I know nothing
about the JWT project scope and I don't know whether this exporter
will be developed by the JWT team (or collaborators) or every vendor
should develop a specific exporter compatible with its solution.
Best regards,
Pablo.

Hi Pablo,
sorry, the link pointed to a JAR-archive, but we only provided a
ZIP-archive. Here is the correct link (also fixed on the wiki page
now):
http://www.eclipse.org/downloads/download.php?file=/technology/jwt/0.5.0/other/jwt-example-processes_incubation.zip
Best regards,
Florian

Hi,
The link seems broken.

Hi Pablo,
yes, there are some *.workflow-files on the download site of
the workflow editor [1]. Please check them out here:
http://www.eclipse.org/downloads/download.php?file=/technology/jwt/0.5.0/other/jwt-example-processes_incubation.jar.

Hi,
Is there some *.workflow example file available for downloading?
Best regards,
Pablo
