[jdt-dev] JDT feature patch

Friends of Java tools,

How is the JDT feature patch for the new Java versions produced?
Manually or via Tycho?

I'm asking because I test some Gerrit changes currently via a custom
build and if I could build feature patches via Tycho that would make
testing easier.
