I did see your pull requests. They are very helpful in giving other folks an idea of what is involved.
To answer your main question, there are folks in the community that already would like to do the kind of work you did. There are many others that we would like to see enlisted to help aid Jakarta EE delivery going forward that we are not even sure if we should try to approach yet.
What we need to understand is aside from the community, where the vendors really are in all of this? Are they ready to help the community move this work forward? What are they themselves committing to doing (so far no one has even stepped up to take ownership of the Jakarta EE 9 release, for example).
At the end of the day, it is important we are all aligned and working towards the same things. The sooner we can get to that alignment, I think the better for everyone. The work can begin instead of just wait-and-see. I think we've all had enough of the wait-and-see
with the transition the past few years.
