Subject: [EXTERNAL] [jakarta.ee-spec] BALLOT: Approval to release Jakarta EE "javase" specifications
Sent by: jakarta.ee-spec-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxx

Greetings Jakarta EE Specification Committee.

I need your vote to approve Service Releases for the following specification project versions.

Jakarta Activation 1.2.2
Jakarta XML Binding 2.3.3
Jakarta Web Services 2.3.3

The JESP/EFSP requires a successful ballot of the Specification Committee in order to ratify and make these service releases final.

The relevant materials are available here:

Jakarta Activation 1.2
Jakarta Activation 1.2 javadocs

Jakarta XML Binding 2.3
Jakarta XML Binding 2.3 apidocs

Jakarta XML Web Services 2.3
Jakarta XML Web Services 2.3 apidocs
Jakarta SOAP with Attachments 1.4
Jakarta SOAP with Attachments 1.4 apidocs
Jakarta Web Services Metadata 2.1
Jakarta Web Services Metadata 2.1 apidocs

Note that the Jakarta XML Web Services Specification Project owns the Jakarta XML Web Services, Jakarta SOAP with Attachments, and the Jakarta Web Services Metadata specifications; all of those specifications are included with this ballot.

Per the JESP, this will be a fourteen day ballot, ending on February 19/2020. I require a Super-majority positive vote of the Specification Committee members. Community input is welcome, but only votes cast by Specification Committee Representatives will be counted.

The Specification Committee is composed of representatives of the Jakarta EE Working Group Member Companies (Fujitsu, IBM, Oracle, Payara, Red Hat, Tomitribe), along with individuals who represent the EE4J PMC, Participant Members, and Committer Members.

Specification Committee representatives, your vote is hereby requested. Please respond with +1 (positive), 0 (abstain), or -1 (reject).  Any feedback that you can provide to support your vote will be appreciated.

Thanks,

Wayne
