Re: [iot-wg] [iot-pmc] Updates to iot.eclipse.org website

Thanks for the feedback Julien. I’ve updated the categorization of Eclipse Leshan and Eclipse Californium accordingly.

I agree that Eclipse Tiaki should be removed, however the project termination is still ongoing, so it’s still technically listed in the PMI. I’ve updated the page so that Tiaki is hidden no matter what the PMI says, and I’ve also pingged EMO on bug https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=501279 re: termination of the project.

Thanks!

I would like Leshan listed in gateways (Leshan client), security (key rotation)

Californium Scandium implements DTLS  so I would add it to security, because you can use it outside of CoAP

Tiaki should be removed no ?

Hi there,

Last week I pushed a few updates to the Eclipse IoT website - https://iot.eclipse.org

The goal was to refresh the content a bit so as to reflect better our move towards three stacks, as opposed to the former positioning consisting of IoT frameworks & runtime and open standards.

A few things that have changed:

· The front page now points to three pages dedicated to the three stacks for Constrained Devices, Smart Devices, and Cloud platforms.

· The Standards bit is obviously still an important part of our story, so https://iot.eclipse.org/standards still exists and is linked from the front page too. I've refreshed the content to be more complete with regards to the standards we have open source implementations of. If your project implements a standard, please review the dedicated section! If I forgot to list a standard, please let me know too :-)

· In order to help people navigate our ecosystem of projects more easily, I've improved the page that lists our projects (https://iot.eclipse.org/projects/) so as to help people filter out which projects belongs to which stacks.

Things we still need to improve:

· The "Getting Started" page will need to be reworked, in particular since however successful it is, the "Greenhouse tutorial" is now a bit outdated, and limited to only a small subset of technologies/projects we have at Eclipse IoT.

· We are looking at doing a better job of promoting the resources available in our community, so the "Resources" section will probably need some love in the near future

Your feedback on this update will be much appreciated!

Cheers,

Benjamin
