Re: [iot-pmc] libusb 1.0 works-with for Kura
|
Hello Kai,
The bundle will still be present, but Kura will continue to work even if libusb is not present. If the developer wants to use the Kura UsbService, they will need to have libusb installed on their system.
Thanks, --Dave
Hi,
not distributing but dynamically linking to it means that the lib has to be configured through -Dusb4java.libext parameter as described on http://usb4java.org/nativelibs.html? The automatic extraction of usb4java is neat, so it’s a pity that we cannot use this directly within Eclipse.
Works-with usually means that the product has an equivalent other option - is this the case for USB or do we follow the argument that Kura will only use it in an optional bundle and thus Kura can work without it?
Regards, Kai
I thought I had opened that discussions thread but apparently I didn't…
This gets my +1, but other PMC members, please vote too.
Thanks, Benjamin –
