Yeah, I’m probably worried over nothing.
BTW, the community has long perceived what we ship as “Eclipse”. Doesn’t really matter what label we try and put on it, it doesn’t seem to make a difference.
At the end of the day I think people will simply call them Theia, Che, and Eclipse. Everyone will understand that and we’ll be fine.
Cheers,
Doug.

Doug,
Note that "Eclipse Marketing Folks" were at our meeting at EclipseCon. Also keep in mind that Coke "Classic" was hard to improve upon. :-P In the end, we will call our products "Eclipse IDE for *" just as we have been doing for
quite some time. The community has long perceived what we ship as "The Eclipse IDE". The term "Classic", or whatever the marketing folks want to use, will be used to distinguish "The Eclipse IDE" from "Eclipse Che" and "Eclipse Theia" in whatever context
where the term "Eclipse IDE" might be ambiguous.

Calling the IDE “Classic” is insulting. I will reiterate my point, we need marketing input into these names if we care at all about how the community perceives us.

This will be fixed for the next release. The Planning Council will work on this starting today at our face-to-face meeting at EclipseCon Europe.

Sigh. We really need more marketing input into this process.

I might be not 100% in-shape this morning but ..
@EclipseJavaIDE:
it tool me minutes to understand that #Eclipse#SimRelis
not some special IDE for "simulations" but stands for Simultaneous Release. So please, it cannot be just me, therefor there is room for optimisation.
