Most committers are already subscribed to the repo and see all… the messages. So @ mentioning a committer group will not put more email in the committer’s inboxes. They were already going to get the email.

Subject: [EXTERNAL] Re: [equinox-dev] Committer disagreement resolution guidelines
I' ve opened https://gitlab.eclipse.org/eclipsefdn/helpdesk/-/issues/1437 to see what we can get out of this discussion. Please vote/comment/etc. so we can get
some good longterm solution. On Mon, Jun 20, 2022 at 1:28 PM Christoph Läubrich

Yes, but as you mention I need to
a) got to project site (often hard to find if not linked as project name
!= github repo name)
b) got to
https://projects.eclipse.org/content/thomas-watson-project-lead-equinox
for exmaple
c) then click on the user
d) then there is a small button to gihub (not sure if always, because
eclipsename != github name in many cases) then copy that name and build
a list of potentially everyone...
No think about someone wants to ask any commiter to review its PR, now I
need to just randomly choose people, while with a public team I could do
@commiters can please someone review my PR or let me know what is missing
Given that there is already an automated script for syncing the infos to
github, I assume it should be possible to automate this so we have these
info as a Github "Team" and as the info is not private there should not
be an issue to make it explicit and a "public team"?
