Hi Jay,
Here are a few differences: A Higgins context can contain multiple
digital identities, it allows relationships between DIs, it supports multiple
contexts, and it supports cross-context correlation. But to really answer how
the two should/could go together (and the non-day-job related reason for my
long delay in responding) we’ve started a little project to see what
happens if we try to implement a very simple Higgins IContext that actually
uses JAAS. That way we can learn more about JAAS and properly answer your
question.

Subject: [equinox-dev] Higgins
project and "user context"
Paul,
I am a
little familiar with the Higgins project, though I admit I haven't looked at it
much since before it was renamed.
Like
everyone else, I too have "day job" responsibilities which make my
participation here sporadic. That said...
It sounds
like a lot of what your proposing is very much (almost identical) to the JAAS
Subject and LoginContext.
Can you
elaborate on the similarities and differences ?
