[epp-dev] Will future EPP packages point to a specific quarterly SimRel release, or to the /latest/ one?

A question for the EPP packagers (and the Eclipse Platform committers too, assuming people still download the SDK / platform binaries / etc.):

Since the intent for future simultaneous release trains is that they be "rolling releases" which are compatible from an update perspective (eg., install 2018-09 and update to 2018-12 rather than download a new EPP bundle in December), does that also mean that users will see in their list of enabled Available Software Sites the /latest/ Eclipse simrel release, instead of a specific one?

Thus users might see:

http://download.eclipse.org/releases/latest/

... instead of:

http://download.eclipse.org/releases/oxygen

http://download.eclipse.org/releases/photon

http://download.eclipse.org/releases/2018-09

http://download.eclipse.org/releases/2018-12
