[epp-dev] urgent: Oxygen.1a RC2

Dear Package Maintainers,

after the successful respin of the SimRel repository yesterday/last night this is the urgent request to test the packages for Oxygen.1a, because we are still aiming for a release tomorrow.

Package downloads are available from Hudson at

  https://hudson.eclipse.org/packaging/job/oxygen.epp-tycho-build/369/artifact/org.eclipse.epp.packages/archive/

and updates can be tested with

  http://download.eclipse.org/technology/epp/packages/oxygen/1a.RC2

  http://download.eclipse.org/staging/oxygen

we are supposed to have our final EPP packages for Oxygen.1a RC2 ready (to be released next Wednesday). But after a late contribution yesterday to the SimRel repository, I see another discussion [1] on cross-projects-issues-dev asking for a respin to fix a serious regression.

I propose to wait for the outcome of this discussion *before* building the final packages for Oxygen.1a.

(In case you want to test something in the meantime, you can have a look at  https://hudson.eclipse.org/packaging/job/oxygen.epp-tycho-build/367/artifact/org.eclipse.epp.packages/archive/, but I expect another rebuild soon.)
