Re: [epp-dev] Luna M5 packages
|
Hi Markus,
I’ve just tested the update process to M5 with the Scout M4 EPP under Linux and Windows and it worked on both platforms.
However, if I remove all update sites and add the Scout Nightly as the only update site, no features to be updated can be found.
I guess that “Check for Updates” does only check the top-level feature which epp.package.scout in this case. Although some newer Scout features
are available, they cannot be found because they are “sub-features” of the epp.package.scout feature. Is my assumption correct?
Cheers,
Ken

While we are testing... maybe someone else can confirm (?) the following issue:
Upgrading the RCP/RAP package on *Linux* from M4 to M5 worked like a charm, the same on a Windows computer failed with an error 'Backup of file ... eclipse.exe failed' and 'Can not remove: ...eclipse.exe'. Are
you able to update successfully from M4 to M5?
Thanks,
Markus

+1 for RCP/RAP - I tested it on Linux and Windows

Hi package maintainers,
here's the link to the build on the EPP HIPP to the Luna M5 packages:
Please test them and send your vote as usual...
(I didn't find the time to work on [1] and [2] yet - that's the issue about launching the packages on a Mac from the command line. I think that's only a minor inconvenience. I put it on my list for M6.)
