Yes, it's him, but I could do that, too. But from my point of view it is more important to discuss this on cross-projects-dev or with the Eclipse Planning Council and to decide on that level what to do next.
I wrote it somewhere on this list that I am not going to release the packages today. The feedback here on this list reflects my own thinking: This bug is too severe.

Yep, I came to a similar conclusion in the meantime... that's why I didn't release them so far.
Please keep in mind that the first step to solve this problem is an update/re-spin of the Simultaneous Release repository. Then we can build packages based on that input.
(On the other hand - I am using EGit 2.3.0 from the last Kepler build and I haven't been running into this error myself so far. Of course, this doesn't mean that it isn't severe.)
