Hello,
  I am looking into building some basic integration between EMF Client Platfom and Mylin, basically to store context of what model elements a user browses when navigating a model.

I see someone looked into this 4 years ago: 
 https://github.com/sschmidt/org.eclipse.mylyn.mft.emfstore

and that Mylin has a model focusing tools project: 
https://projects.eclipse.org/projects/mylyn.context.mft

Is anyone aware of other work in this area?
