Hi Mickael,

 

Thank you for the effort in this area over the years – it really is appreciated.

We also understand your position now.

 

We found a volunteer to assist with this account. Sheena from IBM will be monitoring this and keeping it active.

So for now we will keep active and see how this goes.

 

We also hope to start more promotion on LinkedIn.

Hi all,

 

I'm back from holiday and am discovering that Tweetdeck is now shutdown and replaced by a non-free X Pro verified account to get similar feature ( https://www.theverge.com/2023/8/15/23833707/tweetdeck-xpro-paid-service-x-premium-twitter ). I personally cannot use Twitter without columns a-la Tweetdeck, and even less contribute to the @EclipseJavaIDE account. I also don't plan to spend give any cent to X nor to influence anyone in doing so.

So under all those constraints, I am stopping all my activity regarding the @EclipseJavaIDE Twitter/X account (and most likely will stop also using my personal account as well). These days, it was mostly about answering some random messages (questions, rants, comments) involving Eclipse IDE; I was using a search column to identify those (the search query I was using was `eclipse AND (ide OR java OR _javascript_ OR typescript OR rust OR intellij OR netbeans OR vscode)` IIRC). I trust that the WG will find ways to keep this account alive if it seems profitable.
