The Eclipse Foundation on behalf of the Eclipse IDE Working Group and its Development Effort Initiative (references below) is looking for a developer that is interested in entering into a service agreement to research how to modernize the approach to allow for secure installations of the Eclipse IDE, see issue #18 for more information. If you are interested, please reach out to me and provide the following information:
The proposed timeframe for the development effort,
A successful outcome will provide concrete recommendations (plan) on how to address at least issues and topics reference in issue #18, code patches where practical
An epic which is broken down into the individual issues across all the Eclipse projects* involved
Explicit list of deliverables, including any interim deliverables,
A proposed price, including whether the bid is being made on a fixed price or time and materials basisĀ
