Hi Folks,
I would like to produce a maintenance release of ECF: 3.13.3. There have been a number of bugs fixed since 3.13.2 [1], but more importantly I would like to exercise the Tycho-based builder [2]...to verify that our interaction with the Platform (filetransfer) is smooth, that RS/RSA is installable in appropriate contexts (Eclipse, Karaf, other OSGi runtimes, etc.).
There is also this Platform-reported issue [3]. Hopefully they will provide a patch for a 3.13.3 release.
My proposed release date is: December 5th.
This will likely require some effort from Mat and myself and perhaps others, just to deal with some of the ongoing issues. I'm sort of hopeful that the Tycho build will deal with this issue [4] without me having to make manual changes to the created p2 repos.
In any event, I wanted to start some discussion on this to make sure it's feasible.
Another thought: I think it would be a good idea for us to have a conference call so that Mat can go over the new build with at least myself, Wim, and Markus and others if interested. I would propose sometime on Monday, Nov 21...or Tue or Wed. Mat, Wim, Markus could you indicate if either/both of you are available next week for such a meeting and what time would work?
