The execution environment is set to 1.6 because I develop on OS X where 1.5 is not installed and is no longer supported. If I set the execution environment to 1.5, PDE gives me a warning for each bundle. One of my goals is to be 100% warning free, so these warnings are a productivity sink. If there's a way to turn off the execution environment warning, I'd be willing to change it to 1.5.
