Re: [dataspace-wg-spec] BALLOT: Approval to Create the Eclipse Dataspace Protocol Specification Project
|
+1 from Fraunhofer The Dataspace Protocol is essential for technical interoperability in dataspaces and thus contributes to the successful realisation of the EDWG's vision. Best regards, Julia From: dataspace-wg-spec <dataspace-wg-spec-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxx> On Behalf Of Peter Koen (CELA) via dataspace-wg-spec Sent: Tuesday, March 19, 2024 3:22 PM To: Dataspace WG Spec discussions <dataspace-wg-spec@xxxxxxxxxxx> Cc: Peter Koen (CELA) <Peter.Koen@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Subject: Re: [dataspace-wg-spec] BALLOT: Approval to Create the Eclipse Dataspace Protocol Specification Project Microsoft +1 thanks to all of you who have already send our their vote and remind everyone else to not forget about it.
CONFIDENTIAL & RESTRICTED +1 for Amadeus. EXTERNAL Email. Be careful with links and attachments! If in doubt, click the Report Mail button. The Dataspace Protocol is one of the two core protocols the EDWG wants to rely on. The Dataspace Project has the clear goal to contribute to the success of the Working Group and provide guidance for dataspace implementations.
Your vote is required to approve the creation of the Eclipse Dataspace Protocol Specification Project with the following scope: The Eclipse Dataspace Protocol provides a set of specifications designed to facilitate interoperable data sharing between entities governed by usage control and based on Web technologies. These specifications define the schemas and protocols required for entities to publish data, negotiate usage agreements, and access data as part of a federation of technical systems termed a dataspace. The project proposal can be found here.
Per the Eclipse Foundation Specification Process, this will be a seven day ballot, ending on March 22 2024 that requires a super-majority positive vote of the Eclipse Dataspace specification committee members (note that there is no veto). Community input is welcome, but only votes cast by specification committee representatives will be counted.
Specification committee representatives, your vote is hereby requested. Please respond with +1 (positive), +0 (abstain), or -1 (reject). Any feedback that you can provide to support your vote will be appreciated.
