AW: [dali-dev] generating java.util.Date vs. java.sql.Date
|
Hi,
I think this is a more general issue. In entity generation, Dali should offer a wizard or preferences to chose more backward engineering options like temporal types, primitive vs. wrapper types, property vs. field access, ...
Maybe this should be an platform-extension point in 2.0.
Regards,
Adrian

Betreff: [dali-dev] generating java.util.Date vs. java.sql.Date
Hi guys,
When Dali generates entities, for Date types it generates a type of
java.sql.Date. Is it possible to (programatically) have it generate types of
java.util.Date? eg:
@Temporal(TemporalType.DATE)
private java.util.Date salesDate;
The reasoning behind this is that JSF's f:convertDateTime seems to assume
java.util.Date and throws a conversion error for java.sql.Date. Would this be
difficult for me to change the default generation in this scenario?
Thanks
Tom
