Re: [cf-dev] Next Californium release?

Hi,

I would like to start the process of releasing a milestone.
I suppose a 1.0.0M1 is a bit ambitious, maybe we should start a 0.1.0 ?
AFAIK I understand the eclipse process a 1.0.0 should be a stable API.

So my plan:
- propose a release plan for a 0.1.0 in the PMI which is basically: do a proper Eclipse release of the current code base
- release a first milestone (0.1.0-M1)

Then we can start discussing the plan for the 1.0 and the possible API change we need to address.

WDYT?

Hi,

I saw that Californium has now completed full IP review, and I was wondering what was the plan regarding a first release? I believe the code base is pretty mature and a first release would be very beneficial for project adoption.
At a minimum, updating the project metadata [1] to give a rough idea of the project roadmap in terms of next release(s) would be very nice :-)

Thanks!
