[cdt-dev] Vote for Committer status for William R. Swanson was started by Marc Khouzam
|
tools.cdt Committers,
This automatically generated message signals that Marc Khouzam has
nominated William R. Swanson as a Committer on the tools.cdt project. The
reason given is as follows:
Bill has worked on the Visualizer contribution to the CDT for over
a year now, really giving a strong push during the the last
five months.
The large contribution was accepted and committed last week,
on February 14th, 2012. Please refer to CDT's New&Noteworthy
for a screenshot and short description:
http://wiki.eclipse.org/CDT/User/NewIn90#Multicore_Visualizer_View
Bill worked closely and openly with the CDT community, and was
very responsive to comments and suggestions, as can be seen
through out the long discussion in bugzilla:
Bug 335027 - [multicore] Visualizer View feature
https://bugs.eclipse.org/335027
He has also taken an active part in the Multicore Debug Workgroup
as shown in the meeting minutes dating all the way back to 2010 and
up to today:
http://wiki.eclipse.org/CDT/MultiCoreDebugWorkingGroup/calls/minutes
as well as by the feature description he wrote for the Visualizer:
http://wiki.eclipse.org/CDT/MultiCoreDebugWorkingGroup/VisualizerView
He is currently working on the presentation that will be given
at EclipcseCon to demo the new Multicore Visualizer:

icore-visualizer
As a committer he will help maintain the Visualizer feature, and continue
improving it for the CDT's benefit.
During Bill's effort to bring the Visualizer feature to CDT
he even took the time to contribute some convenience classes to DSF:
Bug 365966 - [concurrency] Convenience RequestMonitor classes using
ImmediateExecutor

The vote is being held via the MyFoundation portal: voters *must* use the
portal for the votes to be properly recorded. The voting will continue
until either all 20 existing Committers have voted or until they have been
given enough time to vote, even if they do not do so (defined as at least
one week). William R. Swanson must receive at least three +1s and no -1s
for a successful election.
Eligible Committers must cast their votes through their My Foundation
portal page (do NOT just reply to this email; your vote will not be
correctly recorded unless you use the portal):
