We need to make this change for BIRT 2.0. Should i log it as a bug.

The titles of various wizards for report items are inconsistent:

Image: Image Builder

Text: Edit Text Item

Chart: Chart Dialog

_expression_: _expression_ Builder

Table: Insert Table

 

After discussing with Wenbin, we agreed to change the names to

New ItemName

Edit ItemName

Depending on the context

I think this is not needed for the _expression_ builder, since an _expression_ is a property, not an item.

 

This is a standard naming in Eclipse wizards, and our DataSource, DataSet and Parameter wizards use them already.

 

So we would like to change the names this way:

New Image, Edit Image

New Chart, Edit Chart

New Table, Edit Table

New Text Item, Edit Text Item

_expression_ Builder (remains the same)

 

I will look into the chart titles change, can you let me know if this is feasible for other items. Once we agree on this, I will notify Alethea of the new names, she needs them for the documentation.
