Hi all,
As in an attached mail, Wayne gave us a chance to submit a talk about
accessibility especially for RCP/RAP to EclipseCon. Let's discuss
it via
this ML and at next monthly call. So, would you please let me know
your
availability?
October 31st 13:00-14:00 UTC
November 10th 13:00-14:00 UTC
November 11th 13:00-14:00 UTC
November 12th 13:00-14:00 UTC
I'll try to survey current RCP/RAP accessibility by then.
Best regards,
Kentarou

Subject
[technology-pmc] EclipseCon submissions
Greetings Technology PMC and other folks listening in.
As you may already be aware, I am the EclipseCon [1] programme
committee
member representing the "Emerging Technology" category:
The Emerging Technologies category is chiefly intended to showcase
the efforts of the many projects that are part of the Technology
top-level project at Eclipse (submissions of this nature will take
priority). However, talks covering innovative and exciting
projects or
work based on Eclipse technology are also welcomed here.
Currently, we are have slots allocated for twenty short talks, three
long, one main stage, and two tutorials. This is, of course, not
cast in
stone, but we can assume that this will pretty accurately reflect
reality.
The EclipseCon submission system [2] is now open. We need to start
encouraging folks to submit talks. I'll be looking for the PMC to help
with getting our many projects to submit talks, help with crafting the
abstracts, and (possibly) provide coaching to ensure that the talks
are
of the highest quality possible.
I have been asked to submit a talk on accessibility. I think the ACTF
folks are best qualified for this and I intend to push for them to get
(at least) a long talk discussing (a) the issues of accessibility, (b)
how those issues can be addressed in Eclipse RCP/RAP-based
applications,
and (c) how the ACTF can help.
Thanks,
Wayne
