Hi Nick,
What i'm seeing isn't related to the platform. I tested with Eclipse M5, M7, RC2 and the I20180527-0800 build with the WTP 3.10 RC2 build and could reproduce the problem in all.
I went back and tested the WTP 3.10 M7 with Eclipse RC2 and it was fine.
So it looks like some change between our WTP 3.10 M7 and 3.10 RC2 builds.

be clear... when you say "(and i've tested this with the listed 4.8M5 driver on the build page up to 4.8RC2)" do you mean you installed each of 4.8M5, 4.8M6, 4.8M7, 4.8RC1, and 4.8RC2, and the problem can be seen with
all
versions
of the platform
when combined with the WTP 3.10.0.RC2 candidate build?

other words, this problem is not related to the platform, but to some change between our WTP 3.10 M7 and 3.10 RC2 builds?
Or
are you saying this problem manifests with 4.8RC2, but not the earlier ones?
