Re: [wtp-releng] A sad request for smoke test: I20071026050259

I'm guessing "dtp-sdk_1.6M3_N100507.zip " on the wtp download page should really be "dtp-sdk_1.6M3_N102507.zip " ?

[wtp-releng] A sad request for smoke test: I20071026050259

Sad because it's the second week in a row we've hit blocking problems when trying to move up to a new platform build,
And sad because I'm requesting the smoke test, even though we do not have a good JUnit run -- something I'd normally
never do ... but ... I'm tired. :)

This week, I'm relatively sure the problem is just with the PPC distribution that we use on the build machine ... and not likely to
impact any one using the build as a target ... but, we won't have that warm fuzzy that our JUnit's ran.
For my bug report on the test framework issue, see https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=207557

For a limited set of JUnit's that run in my environment (on windows), the tests pass just fine, whereas they crashed and burned right off on build machine.

Rather than revert to an earlier build, I'd like to just push forward this week and give it a quick try. If we run into any other blocking problem(s),
we'll just not declare a build this week ... well, maybe we'll declare it, but say it's not usable, depending on issues found.

One thing to watch out for this week is interactions with the new JSDT code. If you see something large that effects your code's function, please enter a
bug on JSDT component. But, if you see something small (like error message in the log) don't bother with that this week, since our goal
for JSDT this week was that it would build ... Phil and Brad, I'm sure, need a chance to make some basic adjustments as they settle in to our
WTP environment and rhythm.  We will raise the bar for JSDT as each week passes.

Thanks everyone.
