[wtp-releng] Update to the Update: WTP 2.0 RC4 build status

Ok, the official candidate for RC4 is now building since 1:26 pm EST, so it should be ready around 3:30 EST.  This includes all PMC approved bug fixes and RC4 dependencies.  I will send out a smoke test request when this build finishes.

Thanks,

Update: WTP 2.0 RC4 build statusLink

We have all PMC approved bugs for now, but the two from J2EE:

186627 cri P3 nagrawal@xxxxxxxxxx makandre@xxxxxxxxxx ASSI 2.0 RC4 [hotbug] src folder in web project not refereshing in J2E...
192769
blo P3 ramanday@xxxxxxxxxx ramanday@xxxxxxxxxx ASSI 2.0 RC4 Run on server for EE5 modules calls J2EEDeployOperation.e...

I've been informed they are experimenting and testing with tweaks to the patches and that they need a few hours.

I have updated the build prereqs with the just announced DTP, EMF, and GEF RC4 dependencies and we were already building with platfrom RC4.  I kicked off a build at 1 pm which should be ready around 3 pm EST.  This will be an acceptable candidate for teams who don't rely on J2EE tooling to start smoke testing.  Once the J2EE changes go in, and please send a note to wtp-releng when they do, that will be our official RC4 candidate.

David, can you comment on the failing releng test JUnits?

Well, we still have 7 bugs in PMC approved which are not yet released for a build:

I think the J2EE ones may affect behaviour seen by multiple components, so I'd like to hold off on smoke tests for now, until we can get some resolution on those bugs.  Please try and releases these fixes ASAP.  I will send an update note early this afternoon including information about smoke test requests.

We don't have any awaiting PMC approval, but we do have 6 others targetted for RC4.  If these are critical, please get them in pmc approval today or defer them to 2.0.1.

Thanks,
