RE: [wtp-releng] WTP 2.0 RC2 "Weekly Build" smoke test request

In testing RC2, we just discovered a regression introduced last week (my bad). The regression affects the scenario where you are creating an ear project as part of module project creation (by checking the "add to ear" checkbox on the first page of a module project wizard and typing in a name of a non-existing project). This is a quite common getting started path. The failure is errors in the console and ear project that's not fully formed.

 

The tracking bug (https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=190870) has a patch attached and I just raised it for PMC approval. I've targeted it for RC3, but we may want to consider an RC2 re-spin to pick this up.

Folks,

We just dropped the updated plugin version id for the test plugin. This should have no effect on any team (even our own), and so no additional smoke testing should be needed.

We 
will have a respin for a JSF build issue and possibly a J2EE test plugin 
versioning issue, but this should be a good build to smoke test. Please finish 
ASAP so we can declare the build:

As always, if you release any changes, assuming PMC 
approval, from here on from this week, please reply to wtp-releng with reasons 
for the respin. We will have a day buffer on Monday to release any critical 
issues for RC2 and then declare RC2 officially on Tuesday.
