Thank you for your help. 

The problem is no upgrade available to JSF 20060829 build from update 
site if JSF 20060622 build is installed. 
Likely because both builds are versioned as 0.5 as you pointed out.

We have upgraded JSF features to 0.5.1 in JSF 20060829 build 
selectively.  I.e., excluding documentation and unit tests. 
BTW, the changes are already in WTP 1.5.2 maintenance build. 

Please advise us if this is sufficient to address the issue on failing 
to upgrade to JSF 20060829 build via update site.
