Re: [wtp-dev] JSDT in 3.4M6?
|
I will do it by hand then... If you look at the releng FAQ, it appears
that there should be a new menu item added with their plugin that
allows a direct checkout... http://wiki.eclipse.org/index.php/Platform-releng-faq
That is what I was trying to do.
Thanks again,
Craig

Hi Craig,
I'm not exactly sure what you are trying to do with the map file.
The reason I attached it is because it shows you which plug-ins you
need to import from which cvs. You'll still have to create the cvs
repository and check them out by hand. To my knowledge there is no
automatism that does this for you. (I never understood why there is
this gap between map files and team project sets)

Matthias,
This sounds like it may be the problem. I've never messed with map
files before. I installed the release engineering plugins, but I'm
not seeing the options to load the code via the map in the Team
menu. Did that move? The last documentation on the releng site
talks about the menu options being added to Team. (I see the
copyright menu additions, so I know the plugin is loaded).
Thanks,
Craig

Hi Craig,
You might run into this issue: https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=217464
However, what works well for me is to just check out the JSDT
sources into the workspace. I attached the map file that points
you to the jsdt plug-ins location (You can get it yourself from
dev.eclipse.org in the module webtools.maps/releng.sourceediting).
<wst-jsdt.map>

I recently downloaded the 3.4M6 WTP code to start some
development on top of the new (very cool) JSDT support. I'm a
bit confused though. While I see the JSDT plugins in the
installation and it seems like the Javascript editor in my
running instance is using this new functionality, I can't seem to
reference the JSDT plugins from PDE. I see the "javascript"
plugins, but not JSDT.
Is JSDT supported on M6? If so, can anyone offer any hints into
building on top of JSDT?
Thanks,
Craig
