1.0.2.2 is a maintenance release. The
only difference is a bug fix that provides some foundational RCP capability
which we felt was important to some who are still on the Eclipse 3.0.x

VE 1.0.2.1 does indeed work with Eclipse
3.0.2. The 1.0.2.2 release was to fix the critical bug mentioned before.

No. You need VE 1.1 (and all it's GEF,
EMF pre-reqs) to work with Eclipse 3.1. There are integration and milestone
drivers available (see http://download.eclipse.org/tools/ve/downloads/index.php).

When is VE 1.1 expected?
We plan to GM later this month.
