David, this sounds great. I have a few ideas, how does one start the
project? Should I create a "vision" document outlining the project?

Exactly. The current contributors have no plans right now to
build/contribute what you're proposing.
But if you wanted to start such a project, we would certainly be willing
to talk about the best way to implement your ideas.
