Hello uProtocol-dev Community,
We have completed the alpha.1 milestone and as such I will be creating the
v1.5.8-dev release (tag) of up-spec (up-core-api) as well as the tag
v1.5.8-alpha.1
(so we can link alpha.1 to the core-api version).
The outstanding SOME/IP spec update will be pushed out till alpha.2.
Over the summer we'll continue to refine the documentation to include Open Fast Trace (OFT) metadata for traceability as well as support minor/patch changes to protos follow
Semantic
Versioning v2.0.0 requirements, while continuing to work towards the
uProtocol
Roadmap. Details will be discussed during the weekly sync up meetings.
PLEASE NOTE: We will no longer accept breaking changes to the core-api (and core interfaces) till formal v1.x release of uProtocol
(the open source version).
During the weekly call on Thursday we will shift focus on alpha.2 milestone deliverables as well as language library development status. Time permitting I will introduce changes to the uProtocol roadmap thanks to new contributions to help expand the ecosystem.
Finally, I would like to personally thank every contributor to this projectm with each contribution we get closer and closer to an open (code & collaboration) communication middleware that will "connect applications and services anywhere!".
Sincerely.
Steven.
Eclipse-uProtocol Project Lead.
p.s.
https://projects.eclipse.org/projects/automotive.uprotocol/who lists
all the contributors and contributing companies to this project, some companies are getting lumped under the generic "contributor" category but hopefully that will be resolved soon when they formally join Eclipse-SDV (you know who you are :-)).
