Re: [udig-dev] [udig-devel] email migration reminder

Moving the conversation over here :-)

Right, lets use locationtech-mailinglist from now on to let others know what we are doing ;)

Just in case you haven't seen it yet: I filed a bug for that at locationtech bugzilla :  https://locationtech.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=13

It has nothing to do with the migration itself but is relevant for the mailing list archive in general

I thought about the user list, but figured we could wait until we have a uDig build released under the LocationTech banner.

But yeah we should update the website to point to the correct dev list now :-)

Agree, just wrote down the bullets as a reminder for post-migration tasks

Marco, I haven't had any issues displaying your message.

However +1 to shutdown the Refractions mailing-list since it prevents us getting lost of different mailing list threads.

I guess we should :
1. create an other list for users (like udig-users Refractions ML)
2. transfer the archives of user-list as well
3. change references to Mailing lists in several landing pages
   * refractions
   * githup.io
   ( * confluence wiki pages ??)

Cheers,

It looks my last message (GSoC)  was deeply affected by encoding issues.
Which is the trick to have proper displaying of posted messages? UTF-8 is enough?

As per last weeks email this email list (udig-devl@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx) is migrating to udig-dev@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx real soon now.

If I could ask all participants to sign up at their earliest convenience:

To follow along with the process of migrating the mailing list archives see Bug 11 (login required see Bug 12).
