Hi Jody,
just a short report of my testing of the new package on linux.

1. my congratulations to the raster team: the rendering of tiff and ecw is very fast and good :-)

2. unfortunately I can not test jpg because my installation seems to not to take care at this format:
    - import in the catalog seems not to work, it stops on Validating Connetions;
    - drag and drop doesn't work: no error or something else

I tried to work on path problems and have only testes on windows.

3. if I close uDig and restart it the paths to the ecw and the tiff are wrong: there are every time I restart uDig three ../ before the right path

See above.
A question, what should I have to do to use this version in mac?

Not sure.

Thanks,

Ciao

Silvia

The build and upload went smoothly (no problems!). You can download this stuff from here:

Initial testing on windows is positive (but I included a JRE so it is a bit easier to test). I am building a linux x86.64 now and will upload it shortly.

Have a good time testing everyone; I am away tomorrow.

I am uploading a couple copies of uDig 1.2-M2 (for windows, linux and mac osx). Only the windows download includes a JRE I am afraid; I still need to hunt down a JRE for linux users to play with.

These should be available from the download site soon; I am leaving my computer on so it can upload overnight.

If I here back tomorrow that this release is not fatal we can formally announce and I will tag it up. There are too many people to thank this time around; you know who you are (and thank you).

Jody
