Well maybe we can do Java 6 for trunk. Since it will not be released for a little while yet. And who knows there is a BSD Java 6 port that could possibly work for OSX Tiger and old leopard macs.

Only a few java 6 features are actually of interest to us; a JRuby embedded thing done in the spring for example.
