Removing last opened project from filesystem gives some problems in uDig
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Key: UDIG-689
URL: http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/UDIG-689
Project: uDIG
Type: Bug
Components: API project
Versions: UDIG 1.1.M3
Environment: XP SP2, JRE 1.5
Reporter: Johan C. de Koning
Priority: Minor
To descripe this bug i will give a step by step description about what i did
* Start uDig (there are no projects in the ProjectExplorer)
* Add a new layer (map will be opened)
* Close uDig
* On the file system a new project.udig folder is created (on windows inside the my documents/udig folder) which contains a project file and a umap file. Remove this folder
* Open uDig (there is a project in the list which does not exists anymore)
You can maps to this project but they are not saved when you close uDig. Also create a new project (File -> New -> New Project) is not working correctly. After the New Project Path the Wizard is not going further when you click Finish.
To get everything working again you have to delete the project from the ProjectExplorer (check the File from filesystem option otherwise it will not help). Directly after that (without closing uDig) you can create new projects which are saved correctly.
I think that when removing a project from the filesystem, the project is still listed inside the ProjectExplorer because of the Workspace settings are restored.
